Girls Beyond the Wasteland contains episodes 1-12 of the anime directed by Takuya Sato. <p> Buntarou Hojo is great at adapting stories for his school's drama club, but he's coming up blank when planning his future. Then inspiration strikes when the school's oddest girl, Sayuki Kuroda, approaches him in the men's room with a proposition... and no, not that kind! Instead, this is Sayuki's strange way of inviting him to a date that turns out to be a job interview for helping her develop a bishoujo video game! It sounds a bit out there, but then, so is Sayuki. <p> Suddenly things start to happen, as Buntarou's best bud Atomu and their hyper-aspiring actress pal Yuka are pulled into the project, along with two more female classmates, artist Uguisu and programmer Teruha. Now they'll all have to rise to the top of their game to turn Sayuki's dream into a reality!
