‘SOPHIE’ is SOPHIE’s sophomore and only posthumous album, the followup to her 2018 debut Oil Of Every Pearl’s Un-Insides, released on September 25, 2024. Her team and family collected SOPHIE’s unreleased music legacy after her tragic death in 2021, which includes tracks from her original, but now shelved, sophomore album TRANSNATION. On the 22nd of June, 2024, social media accounts under the username @MSMSMSM_FOREVER appeared and teased an announcement for the 24th of June at the same time across the world. This culminated in a release of the album’s lead single, “Reason Why”, and an announcement of the release of her long-awaited posthumous album.
